I just wanted to share something real quickly that I recently discovered in 3dsmax. I haven't seen very many people use this and I had no idea this even existed! If you enable "Show Buttons" in the "Configure Modifier Sets" menu you can add a bunch of modifier shortcuts right below the drop down. Add your commonly used Modifiers and this is a huge time saver! Opening up the drop down and finding the modifier you need over and over is really annoying!
